The project is part of Hackney Council's comprehensive schools building programme aimed at providing adequate school places for local children. This programme includes the construction of two new secondary schools and a replacement of the state-of-the-art New Regent's College, which will be built in Nile Street.

The Nile Street Project is a mixed-use development, which not only focuses on building an enhanced school but also residential apartments to help fund the school building programme. ABM Tiling Limited is proud to contribute £12m to the council's social housing regeneration budget, making it a socially responsible project.
